Focus on Education
The Butzel Education Industry Team presented its Third Annual Education Seminar and Panel Discussion on Thursday, October 9, in the firm’s Troy office. Speaking during the seminar were (left to right) Butzel Education Industry Team co-chair Carey DeWitt; Alana Slaughter, Human Resources director, Detroit Country Day School; Nicholas Schroeck, dean, University of Detroit Mercy School of Law; Gloria Hage, senior associate general counsel, University of Michigan; and Mike Poterala, general counsel, Wayne State University. The half-day program provided education industry administrators, legal counsel, strategic planners, human resource professionals, deans, provosts, enrollment VPs, and related higher education professionals an up-close and personal look at the issues impacting the industry.
