Six members of the Climax-Scotts girls varsity volleyball team earned postseason recognition and the team was recognized for academic achievement head coach Angela Gilbert announced Tuesday.
C-S senior Ashlynn Gilbert was named to the SCAA Dream Team as a top four vote getter.
Gilbert, a setter, was also named to the SCAA 1st team.
Named to the SCAA 2nd team was senior Sophie Braithwaite and junior Mackenzie Vincent.
Seniors Addy Reeves and Holly Talbert were named SCAA Honorable Mention.
Gilbert was also named to the Michigan Volleyball coaches Association (MIVCA) All-State Honorable mention and All-Regional teams as a setter.
The C-S volleyball team also earned MIVCA Team Academic All-State honors. Team Academic All State is awarded to the school, if the team has a 3.30 grade point average.
Holly Talbert, Adalynn Reeves and Jane Carillo-Keegan earned MIVCA Individual Academic All-State recognition for achieving a grade point average of 3.70 throughout their high school career.

C-S had one player named to the SCAA Red Division Dream Team, five players named to the SCAA Red Division All-Division 1st team, five players named to the SCAA All-Division Red Division 2nd team, and two players named All-Division Red Division honorable mention.
The Panthers, who completed the season with an 8-3 record, also had two players named to the 2025 Michigan High School Football Coaches Association 8 player Division 1 Region 3 All-Region team.
Senior Liam LaSala was one of four SCAA Red Division players named to the Dream Team as a top four vote getter as well as being named one of eight SCAA players selected Red Division 1st team offense as a skilled position player.
Junior Cooper Dinse was one of four players named to the SCAA Red Division offense 1st team as an offensive lineman.
Named as one of five players to the Red Division SCAA defense 1st team was sophomore Easton VanMiddlesworth as a defensive lineman. Sophomore Dane Sattler was one of five players named to the SCAA Red Division defense 1st team as a linebacker and junior Maddox Wyman was one of four players named to the SCAA Red Division 1st team as a defensive back.
Wyman and junior Elijah Bowron were two of the four players selected to the SCAA Red Division offense 2nd team as skill players, junior Cole Birkam and senior Hunter LaSala were two of the three players named to the SCAA Red Division offense 2nd team as offensive linemen and Bowron was one of two players named on the SCAA Red Division defense 2nd team as a defensive back.
C-S sophomore Aaden Krick, as an offensive lineman, and senior Blake Buddemeier, as a defensive lineman, were named honorable mention.
Senior Liam LaSala and junior Cole Birkam were named to the 2025 Michigan High School Football Coaches Association 8 player Division 1 Region 3 All-Region team.
LaSala was selected as a running back and Birkam was named as an offensive lineman.
LaSala rushed for 1,240 yards on 128 attempts, for an average of 9.68 yards per carry. He scored 25 rushing touchdowns. He added 135 receiving yards on 15 catches.
Dinse, Birkam, Krick, and Hunter LaSala (tight end) were key players on the offensive line that helped C-S average 50.9 points a game, and helped the C-S rushing game pile up 4128 yards and 151 first downs.
VanMiddlesworth led the team in tackles with 63, including 32 solo tackles as a defensive lineman. He had a team high eight tackles for a loss, six sacks and a team high 14 sacks and tackles for a loss.
Sattler had 53 tackles including 30 solo tackles and four tackles for a loss from his linebacker position.
Wyman had 57 tackles, including 32 solo tackles and a team high four interceptions from his defensive back position.
Offensively, Wyman shared the quarterback duties with sophomore Alex Wurtzel. Wyman completed 24-of-35 passes for 446 yards and four touchdown passes and rushed for an additional 889 yards on 75 carries.
Bowron was C-S’ second leading rusher, running for 1165 yards on 101 carries for an average of 11.5 yards per carry.
On the defensive side of the ball Bowron had 58 tackles including a team high 40 solo tackles and three interceptions from his defensive back position.
Buddemeier was solid on the defensive line, where he had 20 tackles, including 13 solo tackles, one quarterback sack and 3.5 tackles for a loss.
