Having fun raising funds
The Macomb County Mental Health Treatment Court Charitable
Foundation held a fundraiser recently at First Cut Golf in Sterling
Heights. Among those on hand to give a boost to the organization were
(left to right): Renee Tegel, foundation director; Jennifer Prill,
Mental Health Court coordinator; Macomb County Probate Court Judge Aaron
Hall; Lori Smith, foundation president; Dan Simjanovski, foundation
director; Probate Court Judge Sara Schimke; Marissa Chojnacki,
foundation treasurer; and Brian Grant, foundation director. The
foundation supports the court’s mission of treatment, accountability and
hope. While the court receives various resources and grants to assist
participants, officials with the foundation say those funds may not
cover every need. The foundation helps bridge that gap, they say, by
providing additional support to the court to help meet participants’
needs and empower them through advocacy, collaboration and education.
