It is alleged that on Friday, Dec. 12, Anthony Terrell Patterson entered Advance America on Harper in St. Clair Shores.
Authorities say Patterson displayed a handgun, ordered the two employees and a customer to lie on the ground, and racked the weapon. Patterson took money from cash drawers and a cash box and then fled the business.
He drove away in a vehicle which was connected to his home address, leading to his identification.
Patterson was arraigned Tuesday before Judge Mark A. Fratarcangeli in the 40th District Court in St. Clair Shore on the following charges:
• Two counts of Armed Robbery, each a felony punishable up to life or any term of years,
• One count of Felonious Assault, a 4-year felony, and
Three counts of Felony Firearm, each a felony punishable with a mandatory minimum of two years, consecutive with and to other sentences.
Patterson also has a Habitual Offender, Third Offense Notice, which is an aggravating sentencing factor.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Nancy Zieah argued that Patterson should not receive any bond at all, but the judge set bond for Patterson at $1.5 million.
He was remanded to the Macomb County Jail facing a probable cause hearing on Jan. 13.
