Woodward Warriors
While it fell 4-2 to a team from Detroit Mercy Law in the inaugural Woodward Classic hockey game on January 20, the squad from Wayne State University Law School acquitted itself well in the contest staged at Clark Park in Detroit. Scoring goals for the Warriors were Evan Arturi and Nezar Habhab, as the Wayne Law team could take pride with their Detroit Mercy Law counterparts in helping raise more than $5,000 for the State Bar of Michigan Access to Justice fund-raising initiative. Posing for a pre-game photo were: (front row, l-r) Tom Bell, Wade Henney, Evan Arturi, Associate Dean Michael Oswalt, Matt Wolf, Sergei Nosovich, and Nate Bazydlo; (back row) Art Griem, Arthur Dore, Nezar Habhab, Cole Levine, Eric Zacks, Josh Kushnereit, Cole Luken, Tom Dircks, Tim Parker, and Joe DeFever.
