Pair arraigned on felony charges after alleged drive-by shooting

Macomb County authorities  have announced that 62-year-old Edward Jennings, of Detroit, and 50-year-old Elaine McCallum, of Clinton Township, have been arraigned on charges stemming from an alleged drive-by shooting.

The incident is alleged to have involved individuals who were previously known to one another, and authorities do not believe this was a random act of violence.

It is alleged that on April 25, McCallum was driving a Chevrolet Blazer with Jennings as her passenger in Harrison Township.

McCallum pulled up next to a Chevrolet Silverado occupied by an individual with whom there was a prior relationship, and a verbal altercation occurred through the open windows.

It is further alleged that McCallum then pulled closer to the Silverado, at which time Jennings discharged a handgun into the vehicle. The driver of the Silverado was not injured.
