Voting now open for 2026 Michigan State Bar elections

Michigan attorneys can now cast their votes in the 2026 State Bar Elections. Each Michigan attorney has been emailed a link to their personalized ballot. Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 15.

The election includes contested races for the Judicial Tenure Commission as well as the Board of Commissioners District H (Lenawee, Monroe, and Wayne counties) and District I (Oakland County).

Law school to feature Levin Center director online

On Wednesday, June 17, from noon to 1 p.m., Wayne State University Law School will present its latest Legal Briefs program online featuring Jim Townsend, director of the Carl Levin Center for Oversight and Democracy at Wayne State University Law School.

During this program, Jim Townsend will introduce the Levin Center’s mission and work, including its engagement with Congress, state legislatures, secondary schools across Michigan, and the academic community.
