Host of Winners

Golf Outing Committee Chair Russ Carniak of Strobl PLLC and Vice-Chair Rick Rassel of Williams Williams Rattner & Plunkett PC strike a pose before the July 27 OCBA Bar for Par Tournament at Knollwood Country Club.

The 2026 version of the “Bar for the Course Tournament” presented by the Oakland County Bar Association drew 100 golfers to Knollwood Country Club July 27 on a sun-splashed day that saw a repeat performance by the winning foursome from the year before.

The team of Brad Sargent, Bishop Bartoni, Brian King, and Bill McDonald carded a 13-under par winning score of 58 on the par 71 Knollwood layout, duplicating their winning feat from 2025.

Placing second with an 11-under 60 was the foursome of Stephen McKenney, Ken Neuman, David Mollicone, and Nicholas Swider.

There was a three-way tie for third at 10-under 61. The teams included: the foursome of Gil McRipley, Wanda McRipley, Joseph Littleton, and John Wallace; the foursome of Kristopher Hulliberger, Leslie Rosenberg, Trent English, and Court of Appeals Judge Matthew Ackerman; and the foursome of Jeff Bolin, Matt Schroeder, Todd Fracassi, and Chuck Ebel.

In the closest to the pin contest for women, Katherine Dvorak took top honors, while Todd Fracassi was the winner of the closest to the pin for men at the OCBA outing.

In the longest drive contest for women, Francesca Salamida earned the winning prize, while Joseph Littleton was the longest drive winner for men.

John Slevin of The Legal News team was the winner of the straightest drive contest, a combined event for men and women.
