Wayne Law supports graduates during Michigan Bar Examination
Every attorney remembers the bar exam: the nerves before reading the first question, the mental exhaustion after hours of testing and the determination it takes to return to the exam room after a brief pause. These experiences stay with graduates long after they become licensed. Recognizing the significance of these two challenging days, Wayne Law is immensely proud of its graduates for approaching the Michigan Bar Examination on July 28 and 29, 2026, with grit, grace and an unwavering commitment to the profession they are preparing to enter.
Wayne Law was excited to once again host its annual bar exam luncheon at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. Approximately 120 Wayne Law graduates taking the Michigan bar exam were invited to step away from the testing room, enjoy a complimentary lunch on both days and recharge before returning for the afternoon session. More than just a meal, the luncheon offered graduates an opportunity to reconnect with classmates, share words of encouragement and see familiar Wayne Law faces who supported them throughout their legal education.
Programs like the bar exam luncheon remind graduates that they are never alone in this journey. A few words of encouragement from a trusted mentor, the chance to laugh with classmates or simply a quiet moment to reset can make a meaningful difference during one of the most demanding experiences of a legal career.
‘Resolving Family Conflicts Using Virtual Services’ discussed online
The Michigan Judicial Institute along with the Friend of the Court Bureau will present a webinar on “Expanded Options for Resolving Family Conflicts Using Virtual Services” Thursday, August 27, from 9 to 10 a.m. via Zoom.
The webinar will features a discussion and demonstration of the new MI-Resolve 2.0 for Families. The system has been completely updated and now allows parties and referral sources to request mediation services online using the new software. The online mediation services are available in all 83 counties at no cost for parties, referral sources, and court agencies. The presentation will conclude with an update on the Access and Visitation Program and information about court funding applications for child neutral drop off services and supervised visitation services due August 28, 2026.
Speaking at the webinar will be Michelle Hilliker, manager, Office of Dispute Resolution, Field Services, State Court Administrative Office, Michigan Supreme Court.
