The Centennial Celebration will feature a series of events throughout the afternoon:
• 12:00 p.m.– 1:00 p.m. Unveiling and Dedication of Public Art
• 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Tours of the Original Courtrooms
• 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Greater Flint Arts Council Reception 816 Saginaw St. Flint, MI 48502
The reception will feature culinary selections from The Cork on Saginaw and MCC Culinary Arts, along with live music by the Roger Jones Jazz Trio.
Located at 900 South Saginaw Street in Flint, the Historic Genesee County Courthouse is the 5th courthouse to be located on the Courthouse Square. The centennial celebration provides an opportunity for residents, attorneys, judges, community leaders, and visitors to come together to recognize the significance of the Courthouse Square and celebrate 100 years of continuous service by the current courthouse.
The celebration is sponsored by the Genesee County Bar Foundation, with support from the Judge Louis B. and Barbara H. McGregor Trust Fund and the Courthouse Restoration Fund, in collaboration with Genesee County, Greater Flint Arts Council and the Genesee County Historical Society.
The public is encouraged to attend the celebration and participate in the program.
