The Association of Corporate Counsel Michigan Chapter and sponsor FTI Consulting will present “Getting Practical with Gen AI” on Wednesday, October 21, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Ocean Prime Detroit-Troy, 2915 Coolidge Hwy in Troy.

This one-hour presentation explores the practical applications of Generative AI in the legal field, including its potential use in investigations, compliance reviews, discovery and trial preparations.  Speaker Thomas Barce, managing director at FTI Consulting, will cover key topics such as AI vs Generative AI, ethical obligations, and the evolution of AI technologies, while providing demonstrations that compare results from different large language models to enhance audience insights. 

Attendees will explore topics like conducting timely case assessments, evaluating relevance, policy compliance review, identifying personally identifiable information, and identifying privileged documents.  Attendees will leave with an understanding of the practical opportunities available using Gen AI, potential hazards, and measures to mitigate the risks.
