Justice for all
On Friday, October 2, Lakeshore Legal Aid conducted its all-program meeting at the Troy Community Center bringing staff together from across the organization. Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Megan Cavanagh (pictured above) opened the meeting by administering the Lawyer’s Oath and sharing remarks on the importance of access to justice and the role attorneys play in serving their communities. Lakeshore Legal Aid is a not-for-profit law firm providing a range of free civil legal services to people living with low income, older adults, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in southeast Michigan.
Happy to welcome Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Megan Cavanagh (second from right) to the meeting were (left to right) Lakeshore Chief Advocacy Officer Akisha Johson, Lakeshore Chief Executive Officer Ashley Lowe, and Lakeshore Chief Financial Officer Terrie Fiehn.
