‘Holiday Chaos’ focus of WLAMom online discussion

The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan will conduct its monthly WLAMom online discussion Monday, December 5, beginning at 8 p.m. via Zoom,

The December program will focus on “Holiday Chaos - How to handle it with your kids?” WLAM will also host a Netflix Watch Party of “A Bad Moms Christmas.”

Holiday Party hosted by ALA in Royal Oak Dec. 6

The Association of Legal Administrators, Metropolitan Detroit Chapter, will host its Holiday Party with fun, food, cocktails and bowling on Tuesday, December 6, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Bowlero Lanes & Lounge, 4209 Coolidge Hwy. in Royal Oak.

During the party, ALA will also be collecting mittens and hats for Mittens for Detroit. 

Warming hearts, two hands at a time, Mittens for Detroit Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that collects, purchases, and distributes new mittens and gloves to children, teens, and adults in need in Detroit and other underserved cities. NBI webinar ‘The Judges’ View: Michigan Civil Litigation Dos and Don’ts’ Dec. 2

The National Business Institute will present the live video webinar “The Judges’ View: Michigan Civil Litigation Dos and Don’ts” on Friday, December 2, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

NBI has asked local civil court judges to share their insights on common procedural, evidentiary, and advocacy challenges. 

Speaking during the webinar will be Judge Margaret Bakker, 48th Judicial Circuit Court in Allegan County; Chief Judge Roberts Kengis, 48th Judicial Circuit Court in Allegan County; Chief Judge Jon A. Van Allsburg, 20th Judicial Circuit Court in Ottawa County; and moderator Benjamin W. Mills, attorney with the law firm of Gruel Mills in Grand Rapids. 

This basic-to-intermediate level online seminar is designed for attorneys.
