On April 30, the State Bar of Michigan Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee hosted Brunch for Bars, bringing together 75 attendees to network, catch up, and discuss diversity and inclusion efforts. The event marked the first Brunch for Bars since 2019. SBM President James Heath welcomed guests at Andiamo’s Detroit Riverfront in the Renaissance Center and thanked them for their continued support in promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

The conversation for the event focused on the pipeline into the legal profession and how it can be supported. The discussion set the stage for the upcoming State Bar of Michigan Pipeline Summit.

The Pipeline Summit will bring together stakeholders to share information on current pipeline activities, identify collaboration opportunities, and foster discussion to move the legal profession forward on Thursday, June 1, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Delta Hotels by Marriott Detroit Novi, 37529 Grand River Ave. in Farmington Hills.
