ABA to host third AI and the Practice of Law Virtual Summit May 18-19
The American Bar Association Center for Innovation will host its third virtual AI and the Practice of Law Summit May 18-19 to discuss legal and ethical governance and developments and offer practical examples of how AI is being used in legal work today. The workshop is for lawyers, law students, technologists and law firm business leaders.
During the two-day online meeting, legal, academic, business and technology experts will discuss — through panels, TED style talks and workshops — lessons learned from the use of AI, how to build an AI-intelligent law firm and the guardrails and common mistakes of AI use in a firm.
Programming includes:
• “Real World Use Cases”
• “Building Your Intelligent Firm: AI and Billing”
• “AI Adoption 101”
• “Architecting Ethical and Legal AI Governance Through AI Platform Contracts”
• “Fact vs Fiction”
• “AI Agents”
• “Roadmap for Implementation”
The ABA Center for Innovation is a place for collaborative and creative thinking about transforming the U.S. justice system. It believes the intersection of law and technology affords the profession a tremendous opportunity to reshape both the delivery of, and access to, legal services for the 21st century.
