Webinar looks at preparing
for AI-assisted ligitation

The National Center for State Courts will present a webinar on “The Coming Wave: How Courts Can Prepare for AI-Assisted Litigation” Wednesday, July 15, from 1 to 2 p.m. via Zoom.

Generative AI is expected to reshape the nature and volume of court filings with implications for court operations and access to justice.

Are courts ready?

This TRI/NCSC AI Policy Consortium for Law & Courts webinar features a panel discussion examining what AI-assisted filings look like in practice, what they mean for court capacity and what steps courts can take right now to get ahead of the curve.

Organizers say the panelists will offer grounded, operational guidance — from measuring baseline filing trends to simplifying processes and investing in the right technology.

‘Preserving Client Confidentiality’ focus of ABA webinar

The American Bar Association will present the webinar on “Preserving Client Confidentiality: Navigating Scenarios That Trip Up Smart Lawyers” Monday, July 20, from 1 to 2 p.m.

Lawyers know they have an ethical obligation to safeguard information related to the representation of a client, yet the duty of confidentiality is not absolute-- Rule 1.6 allows disclosure in certain situations.

Does the confidentiality obligation extend to non-clients? Former clients? What about chatbots?

Organizers say the program will explore when disclosure is permitted—and when it crosses the line.

Cost for the webinar is $130.
